Today at the CCTA, we have launched our report on the state of the Cloud Consulting and Technology Sector. The report is a collaborative project between CCTA members and provides an analysis of the current UK cloud market, the issues facing it and the need for policy and government to keep up with the level of demand that the cloud sector has. It also includes several case studies from those working within the sector who share their first-hand experiences of the industry. You can download the report here.

This is the first report of its kind from the CCTA following our launch in late 2021. Aside from supporting cloud consulting and technology businesses to grow and thrive, the CCTA is also ready to act as a partner to the UK and devolved governments as the country continues to develop the right environment for the cloud sector to expand which, in turn, will reap huge benefits for the wider economy.

At the CCTA, we believe that this is an incredibly exciting moment for our sector. The cloud technology industry is expanding exponentially at a time when our economy is also going through a period of real transformation. Our members know that the cloud sector – and the adoption of cloud technology by UK business – will be central to future wider economic growth. The pandemic and remote working has brought the cloud into the everyday lives of millions of people in every corner of the country. This report details the impact that a changing workforce has had on our sector – and opens a discussion on what must happen next to ensure the future success of the industry.

The CCTA are working with cloud computing businesses across the country, as well as engaging with a range of stakeholders and policy makers, to ensure that this sector has the best possible support going forward. We see this report as a first step in what we see as an on-going discussion with our members, the sector and government on the future of cloud computing.
